Advanced Medical Imaging Courses
MSc Advanced Medical Imaging
This part-time, 3-years programme is designed to enable qualified medical imaging practitioners to meet the challenge of specialist, advanced and consultant practitioner status in a rapidly evolving health service.
You must already hold an undergraduate qualification in a related field and for most modules you must have an established clinical workload in the area of practice you intend to study and the support of a mentor at your place of employment.

MSc/PgDip Dental Implantology
This MSc in Dental Implantology programme has been developed in partnership with ICE Postgraduate Dental Institute and Hospital. This partnership will allow you as a student to gain hands-on supervised learning in a highly technical clinical setting.
The course is aimed at dental practitioners who hold a GDC registrable dental degree and 2 years post-qualification experience in hospital service or general dental practice.
The course is delivered in partnership with the ICE Postgraduate Dental Institute and Hospital.

MSc/PgDip Nuclear Medicine
This course is made up of five compulsory modules which integrate theory with the clinical application and practice of nuclear medicine. There is a clinical practice requirement for the duration of the PgDip and you will be required to work closely with a nominated clinical supervisor.
The PgDip runs over one year making use of the three trimesters. The dissertation module continues in year 2 if you wish to continue. There is the option of returning to complete the MSc after a break in your studies. You are advised to discuss with the programme leader the best option for you.

PgCert Non-Surgical Facial Aesthetics
This is a PgCert course which is delivered in partnership with the ICE Postgraduate Dental Institute and Hospital. It is aimed at General Dental Council (GDC) registered Dental Practitioners and Therapists/Hygienists, General Medical Council (GMC) registered Medical Practitioners and Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) Registered Nurses who are registered with the appropriate body (GDC, GMC) and have a relevant degree at level 6.

MSc Ultrasound Imaging
The MSc Ultrasound Imaging course is part-time and modular. It includes core mandatory modules, and negotiated modules which allow individual learning needs to be met. The two core modules look at Scientific Principles of Diagnostic Ultrasound and Professional Ultrasound Practice, while the named clinical modules range from General, Gynecology, Obstetrics and Musculoskeletal.
The programme is accredited by CASE (Consortium for the Accreditation of Sonographic Education) which ensures the highest standards are met and students will be competent and able to practice professionally within their chosen field.
