Suhaila completed her BA (Hons) Acting training at Bath Spa University in 2020. During the height of the Covid-19 outbreak, Suhaila worked remotely with Elise Davison, Director and CEO of Taking Flight Theatre, where they created an online performance over zoom called Lockdown Landscapes after plans to perform in Phillip Ridley’s play Sparkleshark ended abruptly. During her time in Bath, Suhaila took part in various stand-up comedy workshops, mentored by Tony Allen, where she got to create and occasionally perform her own two-minute stand-up sets in numerous showcases.

In 2021, Suhaila joined the National Youth Film Academy as an actor for further training where she also got together with a couple of actors and filmmakers from the academy over zoom to talk ideas in plans of creating a short film. During June 2021, Bloom, a short meditative film on female solidarity and female empowerment was filmed in Manchester where Suhaila played the character Elle. The short film is currently going around festivals and has so far won three awards and has come runner up twice. Awards include: Best Short Women’s Film and Best Experimental Short.

Suhaila has just completed an MA in Screen Acting at the University of Salford whilst seeking representation. She plans, in her spare time, to create her own short comedy skits and sketches for YouTube.
