“Being a finalist for this award is a confirmation I am walking the right path, it makes me feel seen. All the late-night planning, writing, and developing throughout these amazing three years feel like they have been validated. I am proud of how far I have come, and I believe I have so much further yet to go before I am satisfied, and this award is the starting point for me on an exceptionally long path.
I am ambitious and driven and I will reach for the sun but unlike Icarus I will not crash I will only just keep rising, for the people around me, the ears I hope my words will reach and most importantly for me. For me, this award is the start of everything yet to come. There is no rest for the wicked.”
