Helen McHugh

Helen was born and brought up in South Yorkshire. After graduating from Leicester University, she lived and worked in Austria for three years before moving back to the UK.

She spent 15 years in London working at the heart of Westminster politics, including heading up the Labour Party’s fundraising and business relations units. In 2021 she moved to Manchester with her family and took up the role of Head of North West Engagement and CSR for TalkTalk.

Helen’s primary focus is supporting TalkTalk’s local communities, driving diversity and inclusion in the sector and supporting the GMCA in their campaign to tackle digital inequality. In her spare time, she’s a keen amateur violinist and Director and Trustee of the City of Sheffield Youth Orchestra.
