Research and ethics review

At the University of Salford we are committed to delivering excellent research with impact, research that is delivered with integrity, honesty and rigour. Ethics review is an essential part of good governance.

Ethics review provides assurance to the university, members of the public and recipients of research that our academic activities are designed and delivered with due consideration for the safety and wellbeing of our researchers, research participants and the wider environment. Academic activities requiring ethics review are detailed in the Academic Ethics Policy.

Academic ethics review is undertaken by school-based panels. Administration of ethics reviews is undertaken by School and Research and Knowledge Exchange-based teams across the university.
