What to expect
We're running general information sessions from 13:00-16:00 where you can discover more about the application process, funding your studies, student experience and our campus. From 16:00-18:00, you'll have the opportunity to hear from course tutors and ask any course specific questions as part of our academic presentations/drop-ins.
General information sessions
You will have booked on to these sessions when completing your booking form. You can double check any sessions you have booked on your RSVP email but don't worry if you change your mind, you can head to any of the optional sessions on offer throughout the afternoon:
- Explore our spaces - take a campus tour with our friendly student ambassadors.
- Student panel - this is a great opportunity to hear from current students, past and present, and ask them any questions about postgraduate study.
- Postgrad loans and funding talk - UK home students can find out more about master’s loan and other home student bursaries.
- Careers and employability talk - get to know more about your employability prospects after University.
- The application process - if you've not yet applied, come and find out how! If you've already applied, find out what happens next.
- International essentials talk - international students can learn more about specific funding, Visa and CAS processes and application processes.

Can’t make one of the general information sessions? We’ll have drop-in stands in the SEE Building until 18:00 so you can ask any questions you have throughout the event.

Open Day guide
Your Open Day is made up of different sessions, tours and drop-ins that you can customise to make the perfect visit for your needs. We’re currently working on an Open Day guide so you can plan your day. A copy of this guide will be available online towards the end of May. Printed copies of the guide will also be available to pick up at the event.
Plan Your Open Day: Online session and Q&A
On Friday 19 June, we will be hosting an online Planning Your Open Day session where you can hear from the team about how to make the most out of your Open Day. It will take place from 16:00-16:30 and you can book your place now!
We'll guide you through how to find us, what's on during the event and answer any questions you may have about your visit.
How to find us
By public transport
If you are able to join us by public transport, we are easily accessible by train and bus, with Salford Crescent train station located directly on the campus. MediaCity campus is also accessible by tram.
By car
If you’re joining us for any general information sessions, from 13:00-16:00, the closest car parks to the SEE Building is the Lowry/Delaney accommodation sites (M5 4NJ). If these become full, please use Irwell Place car park on our Peel Park campus (postcode M5 4WT).
If you're only joining us for your academic content, from 16:00-18:00, please read the below to find out the best place to park for your campus:
Peel Park: Please use the Lowry/Delaney accommodation car parks (M5 4NJ) or Irwell Place car park (postcode M5 4WT).
Frederick Road: Parking is available at Frederick Road using the postcode (M6 6PU).
MediaCity: There are no university car parks at MediaCity. We recommend parking at our Peel Park campus and taking advantage of the free coach heading up to MediaCity. The first coach will head to MediaCity at 14:30 and the last coach will return to Peel Park at 18:15. Alternatively, you are welcome to make your own way directly to MediaCity where there are several private multi-storey car parks, the closest to us being the Garage car park (M50 2TG).

FAQs
How long does the event last?
We’ll be here from 12:30-18:00, but the length of your event depends on what you’d like to do. General information sessions run from 13:00-16:00. Course sessions run from 16:00-18:00.
Can I bring a guest with me?
Yes! You are more than welcome to bring a guest with you to the on-campus event.
Do you have support for students with a disability?
Yes. If you have a disability, please contact us to discuss your access requirements. We’ll then work with you to do everything we can to support you on the day.

Do you have prayer rooms on campus?
The University has a Faith Centre as well as a number of prayer and Wudu rooms.
Can I still apply for September 2026 entry?
The majority of our courses are still available for September 2026 entry. Please check the relevant course finder page for the latest updates regarding course availability.
How do I apply?
You can apply now through our website! We do recommend applying at least four weeks prior to the course start date unless there is a specific deadline for the course you are looking to study, as detailed on our course finder webpage.
Getting the coach to MediaCity
Since there are no university car parks at MediaCity, we recommend parking at our Peel Park campus and taking advantage of the free coach heading to MediaCity.
The time you head to MediaCity will depend on the activity you want to do when you arrive. We have the following activities taking place at MediaCity:
- 14:30 & 15:00: MediaCity campus tour and student Q&A
- 16:00-18:00: Course presentations and drop-ins
To ensure you have enough time to get to MediaCity from Peel Park, we'll have coaches running at the following times:
