Biography
I am lecturer in Social Work and a registered social worker with Social Work England with eighteen years post-qualification experience in a variety of settings, mainly adult mental health.
I am a current doctoral student completing research in the field of deprivation of liberty safeguards and best interests decision making. I completed my masters degree in Applied Mental Health in 2014 and I am a qualified Approved Mental Health Professional and Best Interest’s Assessor.
I gained academic fellowship from the HEA in 2020. I continue to practice as an Independent Social Worker, specialising in Best Interests Assessments & Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards.
