Biography

Sandra Donnelly is a leader of sustainability teaching at Salford Business School, University of Salford. She is actively involved in teaching and module leadership across a range of programs, including MSc Management, MSc International Business, and BSc Business Management. Sandra is a Carbon Literacy Accredited Trainer and contributed to the development of the Salford Business School Carbon Literacy course which is accredited by the Carbon Literacy Project.

Sandra is recognised as an innovative educator from Key Stage 3 through to Level 7. She has extensive educational leadership experience across a range of educational contexts and gained an MEd in Senior Leadership for Education from University of Buckinghamshire.

Sandra is a passionate advocate for environmental and social justice, reflected in pro-bono advisory work with social enterprises and governance roles with schools and conservation organisations. Her research focuses on disparities in educational outcomes and explores the intersectionality factors that affect progression, completion and attainment.

Areas of Research

My main research interest is around understanding and mitigating the intersectional barriers facing students from widening participation backgrounds. This is reflected in my pro-bono and governance work, and my engagement with external networks and special interest groups.
