Biography
I have a BSc (Hons) in Applied Chemistry and a PhD from the University of Sheffield. My PhD research focussed on synthesising and analysing photoactive supramolecular porphyrin assemblies.
I am Programme Lead for BSc (Hons) and Integrated Masters Pharmaceutical Science. I teach at levels 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7 in a number of subject areas, including Advanced Topics in Pharmaceutical Science, Organic Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biochemical and Pharmaceutical Skills, Scientific Methods, and Applied Biomedical Science, within the School of Science, Engineering and Environment.
I have more than 20-years’ experience in industrial pharmaceutical research and development. I have worked in education for over 15 years. I taught the University of Manchester Bioscience and Pharmacy Foundation Programmes at Xaverian College. I have also held leadership roles in several academic institutions.
