Teaching Fellow in Synthetic Organic Chemistry
Biography
I have a BSc (Hons) in Applied Chemistry and a PhD from the University of Sheffield. My PhD research focussed on synthesising and analysing photoactive supramolecular porphyrin assemblies.
I teach at levels 3, 4, 5, and 6 in a number of subject areas, including Organic Chemistry, Biochemical and Pharmaceutical Skills, Scientific Methods, and Applied Biomedical Science, within the School of Science, Engineering and Environment.
I have more than 20-years’ experience in industrial pharmaceutical research and development. I have worked in education for over 15 years. I taught the University of Manchester Bioscience and Pharmacy Foundation Programmes at Xaverian College. I have also held leadership roles in several academic institutions.
