Lecturer in Mental Health Nursing
Biography
I am a Lecturer in Mental Health Nursing. I began working in Higher Education in 2007 and have maintained a part time role as a Clinical Adolescent Nurse Specialist and a School Nurse until recently. In addition to mental health nursing, I am a qualified Public Health Nurse and have over 25 years experience of working with children, young people and adults with mental health difficulties. In addition to my passion for delivering high quality nursing education, my specialist interests are in mental health prevention and early interventions for children and young people.

Adolescent mental health
Adverse childhood experiences
Personality disorder and young people
Recreational drug use in young people.
I teach on both pre registration BSc and MA programmes and am module lead for a level 4 module.
