Biography
Rabab is an academic and researcher in Computer Science at the University of Salford, where she serves as Lecturer/Assistant Professor in the School of Science, Engineering and Environment. She brings over 19 years of combined academic and industry experience.
She earned her PhD from the University of Essex and has previously held teaching and research roles at institutions across the UK. In addition to her academic work, she serves as an academic adviser for the Commonwealth Scholarship Commission, supporting and guiding scholarship applicants and scholars.
Dr Al-Zaidi’s research focuses on improving the security, efficiency, and scalability of modern network systems. Her work spans key areas such as Internet of Things (IoT), blockchain technologies, artificial intelligence security, and FinTech cybersecurity.
Before entering academia, she gained significant industry experience as a senior developer and project manager in the telecommunications sector.
Overall, Dr Rabab Al-Zaidi is recognised for her contributions to cybersecurity and next-generation network technologies, particularly in emerging fields that integrate AI, IoT, and secure digital systems.
