Lecturer in Digital Marketing and Innovation Lead
Mirage is a Lecturer in Digital Marketing an Innovation Lead at the University of Salford and started his marketing career in Financial Services and then FMCG, before joining one of the UK’s largest mobile Internet portals - developing online social communities - creating marketing opportunities for leading brands. He then spent 7 years with Sky, launching and leading its first Digital Partnership Programme, before becoming Future Media Lead with Executive sponsorship.
He has since worked with Commercial, Marketing and HR leaders at leading organisations such as Channel 4, Sainsburys, TalkTalk, Ernst & Young, Invesco, RBS, Beiersdorf, Saatchi & Saatchi and Publicis Worldwide, to transfer knowledge, implement and deploy the latest trends and innovations in Digital Marketing and Advertising.
Formerly Chair of the Learning and Innovation Group at the British Interactive Media Association (BIMA), he launched a UK Digital Knowledge Programme in partnership with Microsoft and BSkyB, that is still running today. Mirage is able to translate the latest developments and changes in Digital communications, consumer behaviour and the impact on organisations to ensure marketing and organisational effectiveness. Mirage has previously sat on executive boards for BIMA, D&AD, IAB and has been an advisor to the British Council and The Big Life Group. He is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts after being invited to join for his contribution to the Marketing and Communications industry and Advance HE. Mirage is committed to developing future talent and his spare time mentors young people and supports charities with their digital strategy.
