BIOGRAPHY
A registered & practising midwife for 30 years. Leads the operational & strategic management of the midwifery team in the context of School strategic aims & objectives. Extensive experience of leadership & management of change both in the NHS & in the higher education sector with a proven track record of managing and successfully leading teams. Extensive experience of programme design, development and management, includes developing leading and managing course units and teaches midwifery on pre and post qualifying programmes. Has undertaken national conference and seminar presentations by invitation with a track record of chairing & leading many NHS conferences.
Particular interest in Infant Feeding and the psychosocial factors that impact on women during the child bearing continuum. I have an excellent understanding and appreciation of the issues relevant to modern, robust midwifery education, research and practice which is at the centre of my teaching. I am a committed, enthusiastic and dynamic lecturer
