Biography
Helen has worked in higher education for over 15 years. She has a strong track record in research, particularly in public health, community nursing and health services management. Helen is a qualified nurse, health visitor, counsellor and coach. She sees these as being mutually relevant to her interest in the promotion of both physical and mental health. Helen is a co-programme leader for the BSc (Hons) Nursing Studies a post qualified nursing programme at Salford which enables international nurses to gain a full UK university Honours degree over two academic trimesters. She is passionate about ensuring that students have equality of access and opportunity to excel in the academic setting.
