Learning Technology Lead
Biography
Calum Thomson is Learning Technologies Lead in the University of Salford Learning and Teaching Enhancement Centre (LTEC). In this role, Calum leads LTEC activity relating to learning technologies and digital pedagogy and education. His expertise in this area relate to curriculum and learning design, student experience, and academic standards. In his role Calum leads the LTEC learning technologist team, managing colleagues engaging in a range support and staff development activity relating to educational technology and blended learning.
Calum's research focuses primarily on teacher development and colleague engagement with this. His MEd and EdD research both addressed distinct issues around teacher adopting of techniques in higher education for teaching with digital technologies. He has also presented and published work relating to a range engagement more broadly with pedagogic and academic development.
