Research Interests

My research interests are focusing on terrorist propaganda and I am particularly interested in exploring what role Internet, media and social media play in the recruitment process and radicalisation. I am also interested in exploring the role of disinformation and misinformation in shaping  audiences’ attitudes and mobilising them  to violence. The geographical regions I am particularly interested in is the Middle East and Eastern Europe. In my work I use approaches from other disciplines, such as marketing, linguistics, art and performance studies.
