Biography
Dr Anjana Basnet is a lecturer in International Business and Strategy at the University of Salford. She holds a first-class BA (Hons) in Applied Accounting from Anglia Ruskin University, an MSc with Distinction in Corporate Social Responsibility from the University of Nottingham and a PhD in Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) from Middlesex University. Her research interests lie in the area of sustainability, CSR practices and CSR disclosure. She is particularly keen on framing CSR practices and CSR reporting practices of companies operating in developing countries.
Anjana is the UN PRME Coordinator for the University of Salford. She is interested in embedding sustainability as a part of responsible management education. Anjana was a part of the team to develop a carbon literacy short course at Salford Business School. She was also a team member on a Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL) pilot project at the business school where the team collaborated with Centrum Business School, Peru to co-teach sustainability to students at both institutions.
She has presented her work at both national and international conferences.
