Professor Jane McAdam appointed Deputy Dean of the School of Health and Society
Following a competitive internal process, Professor Jane McAdam has been appointed into the role of Deputy Dean of the University of Salford’s School of Health and Society.
Jane has worked at the university for over 10 years, providing vital strategic leadership as part of the School of Health and Society’s senior management team. She has been interim Deputy Dean of the school since January 2025 and is also Chair of the Council of the Royal College of Podiatry.
Professor Vicky Halliwell, Pro Vice-Chancellor and Dean of the School of Health and Society, said: “Jane has led on a number of significant projects during her interim role and made a valuable contribution over the years as part of the school’s senior management team.
“I am delighted that she will continue to bring her leadership, insight, and commitment to our ongoing success as a school and to the wider university.”
Jane said: “It is a privilege to take on the role of Deputy Dean at such an exciting time for our School of Health and Society. The development of our new Thrive Health and Wellbeing Centre is now well underway and will enrich learning, teaching and research here in Salford, as well as supporting health and wellbeing in the community.
“I look forward to continuing to work alongside our dedicated team of colleagues and students to educate and inspire the next generation.”
