Legal and ethical

Even sensitive data can be shared legally and ethically if researchers use informed consent, anonymisation and controlled access to data. When working with data researchers are expected to be aware of ethical standards and comply with relevant legislation such as data protection legislation and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
