Description

Bloomsbury Architecture Library is a collection of resources to support the study of architecture, urbanism, and interior design. Explores 5,500 years of the world’s architecture through Sir Banister Fletcher’s Global History of Architecture 21st edition, contains interactive visual timeline of global architectural history, studies of in-depth buildings pages, and a library of 135 architecture eBooks. This resource is available via the Bloomsbury Visual Arts Database.

Bloomsbury Costume and Dress Library

Description

Bloomsbury Dress and Costume Library is the first comprehensive online collection for the interdisciplinary study of dress and costume history, design and making, and offers an indispensable scholarly and educational resource to support the study of dress history, costume studies and costume design. It can be accessed by the Fashion Central database.

Bloomsbury Popular Music

Description

The original collection, Bloomsbury Popular Music, provides unrivalled scholarly coverage of modern popular music worldwide, covering the mid-20th century to the present day, through the Bloomsbury Encyclopedia of Popular Music of the World, an expanding range of scholarly books and the 33 1/3 series. It supports courses in ethnomusicology, the performing arts, media and communication, cultural studies, anthropology and sociology. Resources from this database are accessible via Library Search.

Bloomsbury Video Library: Dance Collection

Description

The Dance collection on Bloomsbury Video Library contains performances, documentaries, interviews, and instructional videos covering a range of dance styles, including ballet, jazz, tap, and hip-hop, as well as coverage of dance traditions from around the world.

Description

MATFLIX is an online video resource specially made for midwives, student midwives, and healthcare professionals. It gives students access to over 1000 lectures and talks delivered by midwifery and healthcare experts. Additionally, they have put together, expertly curated boxsets on a range of key issues.

National Theatre Collection 3

Description

National Theatre Collection 3 now available via Drama Online. The third National Theatre collection has launched with 10 performances, from Greek tragedy, a medieval morality play, and Shakespeare, to plays about Generation Z. The collection will complete with a further 10 performances in February 2024

Policing Insight

Description

CoPaCC launched Policing Insight in May 2015 to provide a platform for stakeholders in policing and criminal justice to share knowledge, insight and opinion. The content covers the full width of policing and criminal justice topics including policy, practice, crime and technology via articles, reports and the valuable Media Monitor service, a searchable database of news, analysis, opinion and reports from national, local and specialist press as well all the key policing and criminal justice organisations.

Description

Springer Protocols is the largest database of reproducible laboratory protocols (over 66,000) in biomedicine and life sciences, so users can find the right protocol for their lab set-up, eliminating the need to compromise or find ‘workarounds.’

Sustainable Business Development Goals

Description Multi-media content database eResource that was launched by Taylor & Francis in 2019. It is based on the 17 sustainable goals as identified/recognised by the United Nations and the Principles for Responsible Management Education (PRME) The content is comprised of approx. 20k relevant book chapters, approx. 2k journal articles and a large selection of teaching & learning material.

BJN Inform

Description

 

BJN Inform is an evidence-based resource, created to give nurses quick access to clinical content in easy, bite-sized format. The content covers clinical conditions and procedures, person-centred care and professional skills. Though it has been created with busy NHS nurses in mind, the content would also be very useful for nursing students looking to develop their practice. We also have CPD functionality to allow users to track and record their reading activity for revalidation.

Description

The Business of Fashion is an industry resource which is recognised around the world for its authoritative, analytical point of view on the $2.5 trillion global fashion industry. Its mission is to build fashion’s global membership community to open, inform and connect the industry.

 A portion of the content is dedicated to Workplace & Talent which is designed to help students and entry-level employees navigate their future in the industry through advice, qualitative insight and data. Content and newsletters also link directly to BoF Careers, the fashion industry's largest bespoke job board where students can apply for open roles within fashion.

Description ProQuest has developed unique relationships with museums, specialty archives and other content providers around the world to offer unparalleled primary source collections – some available digitally only from ProQuest – that engage, inspire and inform researchers at every level. Description We set up a demand-driven acquisition (DDA) model with ProQuest to ensure our users had access to thousands of books from a number of subject areas suitable for all of our schools. The aim was to contribute to enhancing and improving the student experience, especially under the current restrictions, where it is essential that we had more e-resources available to our students; ensuring they have access to content they need and the on-demand access they expect.
