Thank you for booking your place on the International Undergraduate Online Open Day on Wednesday 29 March from 12:00 pm – 14:00 pm (BST).

Below you will find more information about the different sessions and speakers. Check back here on the day to find links to all the sessions.

You will also receive an email with instructions on how to join the sessions.

What will happen at the Open Day?

Attend the open to discover what studying at the University of Salford as an international student is like.

During the event, you can learn more about the subject you are interested in, chat with international students about life at Salford, explore accommodation options and ask any questions.

The event will be split into different sessions; you can see the schedule below.

Welcome session: 12:00 pm – 12:15 pm (BST)

To kick off the Open Day, the International Recruitment team will introduce themselves and tell you more about our university and explain how the day will run.

Salford Business School: 12:20 pm – 12:45 pm (BST)

Lecturers from Salford Business School will explain more about the subjects they teach, teaching methods and the latest news from the school.

You will have an opportunity to ask them any questions about our courses.

School of Science, Engineering and Environment: 12:20 pm – 12:45 pm (BST)

Professors from the School of Science, Engineering and Environment will hold a talk to discuss their subjects, teaching methods and the latest innovations from the school. 

During this time, you will have an opportunity to ask them any questions.

School of Health and Society: 12:20 pm – 12:45 pm (BST)

Lecturers from the School of Health and Society will lead a talk to explore more about their subjects, teaching methods and the latest news from their school. 

You will also have the opportunity to ask any questions you may have.

School of Arts, Media and Creative Technology: 12:20 pm – 12:45 pm (BST)

Professors from the School of Arts, Media and Creative Technology will explain more about the different subjects they teach, their teaching methods and the latest innovations from their school.

During this time, you will have the opportunity to ask any questions.

Student Support talk from askUS: 12:50 pm – 13:15 pm (BST)

askUS is our student support service, offering advice and information on anything from well-being to budgeting, accommodation and more.

A member of their team will tell you more about the support you will get as a student and the accommodation options available.

The Students’ Union: 13:20 pm – 13:45 pm (BST)

Hear from a current international student working at The Students’ Union who will tell you more about the student experience outside of the classroom. Find out exactly how the Students’ Union can support you with your social life, personal development and overall experience at the university.

Drop-in sessions: 12:45 pm – 14:00 pm (BST)

To finish the Open Day, we will be running three drop-in sessions where you can get tips on applications and offers, and how to get your visa. 

You can also ask questions about our International Foundation Year course too.

You are welcome to join all of the drop-in sessions or just the sessions which are relevant to you. You can join using the links below from 12:45 pm (BST) on the day of the event.
