Campus Living Villages
In partnership with Campus Living Villages (CLV), we offer our main undergraduate student hall: Peel Park Quarter.
Available to new first year undergraduate students, this property is staffed 24/7 with secure key card/fob access. It offers a free gym, communal areas and study spaces and ensuite rooms. All utility bills and wifi are included in the rent.
Peel Park Quarter provides a safe, supportive and social environment where you can make new friends, join in with weekly events and activities, experience new things and feel part of our vibrant student community.
Peel Park Quarter
This village overlooks the beautiful Peel Park on our Peel Park Campus, meaning you can be out of the door and into your lectures in a matter of minutes. You’ll also be a stone’s throw away from other campus facilities, such as the student store, library, sports centre and Atmosphere Bar and Café.
There are a number of amenities included, such as a cinema room, gym, games room and social area.
Peel Park Quarter offers ensuite rooms grouped into flats of 4-10. You will share a kitchen with your flat but have your own bathroom facilities.
"Peel Park Quarter became a home away from home. The friends you meet, along with the staff, create a friendly village I felt safe in." - Niamh McDermott, BA (Hons) Broadcast Journalism

Private rented accommodation/postgraduate students
We highly recommend Peel Park Quarter for first year undergraduate students, however there are plenty of other suitable options available across Salford if you aren’t able to secure a room here or just fancy something different.
As a postgraduate student, Peel Park Quarter is not available to you, so some of the options below, such as John Lester and Eddie Colman Courts are a good place to start.
John Lester and Eddie Colman Courts
Like Peel Park Quarter, this accommodation is managed by Campus Living Villages, though it is not a nominated University of Salford accommodation, it is still a perfectly suitable option for a lot of our students.
Located close to the Fredrick Road Campus and with easy access to the Media City Campus it’s a great choice if you’re studying nursing, healthcare and media-related courses. It’s also only a short walk from the Peel Park Campus, making it easy to get to any part of the University.
John Lester and Eddie Colman Courts have a number of facilities available for you to use at your leisure, including a gym, reading room, common room and basketball courts. The accommodation also features 24-hour security, free Wi-Fi and parking facilities.

International Students
Arranging accommodation for study abroad can be difficult but it is important to have something set up before you arrive.
Commuting from home
You may decide that living at home and commuting to University is the best option for you, and there are plenty of public transport links to help you get here and lots of great study spaces to work and relax on campus.

To book our partnered accommodation (Peel Park Quarter), you’ll need to pay a deposit of £200 - you’ll have 48 hours to pay this in order to secure the room.
If you’re booking other accommodation, deposit details and amounts will vary, so it’s worth checking with the relevant provider.
How do the room types differ in partnered accommodation, and what are the costs?
The prices of each room vary depending on the room type, you can find out more information on the CLV website. We have summarised the main differences between the room types below.

What is the rent payment schedule for partnered accommodation?
For UK-based students our partnered accommodation is paid over four instalments.
- 26 August 2025 – first two weeks of rent
- 9 September 2025 – 15 weeks instalment
- 2 January 2026 – 15 weeks instalment
- 8 April 2026 – 10 weeks instalment
International students will instead pay in two instalments:
- 26 August 2025 – 25 weeks instalment
- 02 January 2026 – 17 weeks instalment
For 51-week contracts, the payment schedules are the same, but each payment will be slightly larger.
What contract length do I need?
The majority of undergraduate students choose the 42-week contract, which starts in September finishes at the end of the following June.
Some students prefer to stay throughout the year and choose a 51-week contract, which runs from September to the end of the following August. If you're studying a Nursing course, we recommend you consider the 51-week contract.
Can I book a flat with my friends?
If you register your interest in a room and we're able to allocate you one, we'll provide you with an individual room to book. This means it won't be possible for you to self-select which flat you'll be in, or be able to guarantee who you'll be living with.
Lots of students can be nervous about making friends at university – but don’t worry – other students will be in the same boat as you, and there will be plenty of opportunities to meet people, for example during events run by our accommodation partners, as part of Welcome Week, your course, and clubs, societies and sports teams.
Can I book a room in a single-sex flat?
When you register your interest in a room at Peel Park Quarter or John Lester and Eddie Colman Courts, you'll be able to select a preference for a single-sex flat. We cannot guarantee this, but we aim to meet as many preferences as possible when allocating rooms.
Other purpose-built student accommodation providers also offer single-sex flats. Details are available on their websites, and we recommend you get in touch with providers directly if you have any questions.
What support can I get if I have a disability or health condition?
Your choice of accommodation may be influenced if you have a health condition or a disability. If you apply for a place at Campus Living Villages or another major accommodation provider, tell them in your application form so they can offer you a suitable room to suit your needs. You can read further advice on our askUS page.
Our registration form for Peel Park Quarter and John Lester and Eddie Colman Courts will include an option to request an accessible or otherwise modified room. You'll also be able to provide information on any disability or condition you may live with.
My UCAS application states I want to stay at home, but I've changed my mind - can this be updated?
Don’t worry if your UCAS application indicates you wish to live at home – it’s no problem if you’ve changed your mind and are now considering student accommodation.
If you receive an offer to study at Salford, we'll still email you about registering for student accommodation, regardless of any preferences you put on UCAS.
I'm a care experienced or estranged student. Is there any additional support available?
If you are a care experienced or an estranged student, you may be eligible to apply for a Unite Scholarship which could cover the cost of your accommodation. Contact our askUS team for more information by emailing askus@salford.ac.uk.
If you need your deposit delayed until after your first Student Loan payment, or are having trouble finding a guarantor for your accommodation, then please contact the team on askus@salford.ac.uk as we can help you with this in some instances.
