Sources of funding, income and financial statements
Our Annual Report contains an overview of our business model, strategic objectives and the key factors that influence our financial performance. It contains our income and expenditure (including staff costs, pension costs, operating expenses and reserves) and a report from our auditors examining our financial statement.
HESA (Higher Education Statistics Agency) publishes data on the income, expenditure and other key topics on both the University and other higher education providers.
The University Treasury Management and Ethical Investment Policy is considered annually by the University Council Finance and Resources Committee (FRC).
The University holds the majority of its investments in the form of cash and investment products rather than stocks and shares therefore this information is not available publicly. However, as per the Treasury Management Policy, details of the University investments and cash holdings are available upon request.
Details of expenditure over £25,000 may be available upon request, subject to any exemptions regarding commercial interests and confidentiality. Please contact the Information Governance team at foi@salford.ac.uk for further information.
