Join the Salford Ranger Team and our Environment and Sustainability Team for a Hedgehog Friendly Campus litter pick of Peel Park and the surrounding area.
What is 'Hedgehog Friendly Campus'? Hedgehog Friendly Campus is a British Hedgehog Protection Society-funded award programme, offering free support to help universities, FE colleges and primary schools make impactful changes for hedgehogs.
Open to anyone whether you're a student, University colleague or from the local community. Equipment is provided so please just bring yourself and clothes appropriate for the weather conditions and grippy shoes or boots.
When: 12:00-13:00 on Tuesday 28 July 2026
Where: Community Growing Space, in between Clifford Whitworth Library and Peel Park
Meeting point: the Park Keepers Base at the bottom of the ramp next to Maxwell, adjacent to the River Irwell. Please note there is no parking in Peel Park itself apart from 3 accessible spaces.
