What our students say

“I really like the fact that our briefs are quite technical as this pushes our boundaries. We can make visuals through CAD software such as SketchUp and Revit, and use our strengths to pull it together. It’s amazing to see my designs come to life when making models. It’s not a case of looking at paper and trying to visualise it, instead you can see what your designs will be like using small 3D printed furniture and people to help provide scale.” Matthew - BSc (Hons) Architecture student.

Industry collaboration is central to learning here at Salford, and our students have opportunities to gain experience on live architectural projects. Watch the video to learn more about their work at Islington Mill – a former mill building that is now home to a thriving community of artists and creatives.
