We chose to work with the University of Salford for our apprenticeship programmes based on its reputation, location, and achievement rates in apprenticeships.

Apprenticeships are an excellent opportunity to ‘grow your own’ in terms of staff development, some of whom otherwise would have been unable to support funding themselves through a training course. Apprentices are seen to be learning more on the job and are very much embedded in the wider clinical team.

The support from Salford has been excellent on all programmes with joint working. Utilising tripartite meetings and the wider Greater Manchester meetings, taking place for discussion for all to be involved in the programme.

We would recommend the University of Salford to other employers and have already done so by gifting our levy to smaller organisations, such as GP services, to apply for apprenticeships at Salford.
