Northern Care Alliance NHS - FdSc Nursing Associate Case Study

Northern Care apprentices

We have a good working relationship with the University, and they provide an amazing apprenticeship programme.

From the recruitment phase of the apprenticeship programme, we have developed strong working relationships with the university Trainee Nursing Associate (TNA) team and ensure that all of our TNAs are supported and trained to the highest standard.

This ensures that patients within clinical areas receive the highest care possible with evidence-based practice. Our TNAs are trained and supported throughout the two-year programme and as a Northern Care Alliance TNA team we support our existing staff to apply for the post by providing them with training around the role and how to complete an application form, personal statement and interview techniques etc. This ensures that our existing staff have the opportunity to grow and achieve their personal goals and personal development plans.

We have an amazing relationship with the University team which has been developed over the last few years. The University are constantly engaging with us as an organisation and have regular communications in various forms. I would highly recommend working with the University of Salford for your apprenticeship training requirements.
