Lendlease - Construction Site Manager Case Study

Lendlease chose to offer degree apprenticeships to our construction students to balance the opportunities for learners with different backgrounds and different types of learners.

We feel that a degree apprenticeship gives the opportunity for the trainee to get a large percentage of practical experience whilst working alongside the theoretical qualification which provides a high level of skill and competency to the trainee when they qualify, which in turn provides a more competent and skilled workforce.

Lendlease chose Salford due to the longstanding construction type degrees they offer. We have alumni from Salford, which over the years, has helped us create a history of great workers coming from the University.

We have found the support from Salford to be excellent, the continuous feedback and meetings have been invaluable, we’ve had great support from programme leaders who are always quick to respond to Lendlease and our apprentices.
