You must register as a student, even if you are a distance learner or will be based at a partner institution, before you can begin your programme.
The online registration portal will be available from mid-December for all students due to register in January and February 2020. You will receive an invitation to register in due course. If you try to access the portal before you receive your invitation to register, you will see a message to say the portal is unavailable and you will not be able to proceed.
Completing registration allows you to receive your student ID card and will fully activate your IT and library accounts so that you can benefit from all of their services, whether you are on campus or studying remotely. You should aim to register before your programme starts. If for any reason you feel you will face a delay, you should contact your school office as soon as possible to advise them of your circumstances. For taught programmes please contact your school office, and for research programmes please contact your research administrator.
