Data Science

Data Science is a fast-growing interdisciplinary field which combines statistics, machine learning, Artificial Intelligence and data analysis to extract insights from data. Through problem-based learning, practical computer-based workshops and group activities, you will gain the skills and knowledge you need to succeed in industry.

The DipHE Data Science course is a Higher Technical Qualification (HTQ) and is aligned to the in-demand occupation that is data science.

Digital Software and Technology provides you with a broad appreciation and understanding of digital technology which includes computing, data science, networking, security, business systems and operations.

This includes an understanding of the fundamental principles that underpin computer programming systems and networking, as well as a more detailed understanding of agile methods, continuous integration in software development, cyber security threats and system design.

DipHE's provide a solid foundation in your chosen field and opens doors to various career opportunities. It's a great option if you're looking to enter the workforce sooner or if you want to test the waters before committing to a full degree.
There are flexible options to study - a DipHE is a two-year course, which can be followed by a one-year top-up course which will give you the full BSc degree. You can also study a CertHE, which is a one-year Level 4 course, which is equivalent to the first year of the full degree course.
