Further requirements for international students

If you are an international student who is moving to the UK to study, you have some extra requirements before starting your course, for example obtaining proof of a UK address for your DBS check, and arranging a Police Certificate of Conduct. Please read the information below for more details.

Requirements for international students
Police Certificate of Conduct

International students will also need a police certificate of conduct from their country of residence. It is easier to gain this before you travel to the UK. Please visit the gov.uk website for more details.

DBS: Evidence of a UK address

Once you arrive in the UK, there are easier ways to get the identity documents you require. One option is to apply for a driving licence (or a provisional license if you have not yet passed a test). Another option is to open a UK bank account and use your letter confirming you have opened a bank account. You can use a bank statement (available one month after opening an account) if it has been posted to your address.

Occupational Health Screening & Immunisations

Please see the ‘Requirements by course’ section on this page to check if you need Occupational Health Screening for your programme. If this is required, you can complete your Occupational Health Questionnaire before entering the U.K. Your Occupational Health Clearance can take a little longer if you have an existing medical condition; if this applies to you, it’s important to complete the questionnaire as soon as you can.

You will be allocated an appointment for immunisations if you need them. If the appointment is not suitable, you can simply cancel it and ask them to re-arrange an appointment for when you will be here in the U.K.

You might have some of your vaccinations already or you may want to start them before you come to the UK. Please bring any immunisation history with you to the U.K.

At some point in the future we will want to add interactive items such as videos but these are not yet ready.
