Biography
I’m a PhD candidate in Audio Engineering and Psychoacoustics. I have already finished my defence and am able to fully engage in working.
My project investigates how degradation in music production might affect audio quality during Audio CODEC processing. It involves understanding and implementing machine learning systems, objective quality metrics, and audio CODEC methods (both DSP- and generative-based).
With a background in Computer Science and Electrical Engineering, I bring strong coding skills to audio/DSP processing and machine learning tasks. I'm also experienced with professional studio recording workflows and proficient with various digital audio workstations (DAWs).
Before my academic journey, I spent nearly a decade as a product manager in the tech industry, leading development in areas such as audio search, audiobooks, and app search, with many of these efforts achieving leading market positions.
As a long-time sound enthusiast, I’m passionate about exploring the intersection of sound, technology, and art. Whether through research, practice, or performance, I believe hands-on experience is crucial to achieving a deeper understanding. Always open to connecting and exchanging ideas on related topics.
