Biography
I am a passionate and driven digital education specialist with nearly ten years' experience in the education sector. I began my career teaching ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) and Functional Skills in further education before developing a strong pedagogical interest in digital education, particularly accessibility and inclusion. During the COVID-19 pandemic, I observed significant inequalities in students' digital literacy and access to learning, which sparked a deeper interest in removing barriers to education through inclusive practice.
This interest informed my master's dissertation, which explored targeted interventions to improve accessibility and support learner experience and outcomes. This led to my transition into higher education, where I have specialised in digital education and blended learning design. My current areas of focus include inclusive curriculum design, VLE module standards, and the use of Generative AI as an assistive technology.
