Senior Lecturer

I am a registered nurse and a Salford student after completing my nurse training here. I began my nursing career in 1997 working firstly in Acute Medicine. I moved to work in a Hospice for the next 18 years of my career. Initially i worked on the inpatient unit and latterly i was the palliative education leads for the borough. I was the sole provider of specialist education to colleagues such as GP's, district nurses and staff within care homes to name a few. I also delivered a programme of education to primary and high school teachers on bereavement and loss. I moved into higher education at Salford in 2018.

I am the Directorate Lead for Teaching, Learning and Enhancement as part of my senior lecturer role. I am passionate about the student teaching and learning experience and the creative ways we can deliver education and assess our students. I am part of the University Education and Student Experience Committee.
