Biography

Accomplished Fellow of the International Institute of Risk & Safety Management- (IIRSM-UK), Chartered Safety and Health Practitioner (CMIOSH-UK) and a trainer from the Institute of Occupational Safety & Health (IOSH-UK). A Certified Safety Professional (CSP) from the Board of Certified Safety Professionals- (BCSP-US). About 18 years in strategic HSEQ Sustainability & Risk Management leadership and consultancy with experiences across multiple industries in Gold Mining, Oil & Gas, Energy Sector, Telecommunication and Construction Projects. Ransford is currently a PhD student at the University of Salford- Manchester UK. PhD research in Safety Risk Management- (Major Hazards) He holds a master’s in occupational health, Safety, & Risk Management, a Master's in Disaster Risk Management, a Nebosh International Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety and a Nebosh International Diploma in Environmental Management. He is also a Certified Lead Auditor in ISO 45001:2018, ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 9001:2015, approved by the International Register of Certificated Auditors (IRCA)-UK and the Professional Evaluation and Certification Board (PECB)- Canada with over 2000 audit hours in three standards across West Africa. Ransford was the Lead Auditor for the European Union Management System Certification project in West Africa, which got over 20 companies in West Africa certified in ISO 45001:2018 (OHSMS), ISO 14001:2015 (EMS) and ISO 9001:2015 (QMS) through the development, implementation and continual improvement of Health, Safety, Environment and Quality Management System. Ransford works for DNV and BV as a Risk management consultant and lead auditor for Africa Operations.
