Lecturer in Popular Music Performance

Biography

I began my studies at Chethams School of Music and then Graduated from the Royal Academy of Music - London in 2003. After graduating, I began my professional musical career, working with a number of high profile London Jazz artists including: Martin France, Gwilym Simcock, Stan Sultzman, Julian Siegel and James Maddren.

I also recorded with a number of pop and rock artists including: Simon Le Bon, Katie Melhua, Keane and Russell Watson. During my time in London, I also worked on a number of shows in the West End such as Thriller Live, and Les Miserables.

I have also taught in a number of education establishments in both Secondary, and Further Education and in 2015 I was delighted to accept the position of lecturer in popular music performance at the University Of Salford. I also continue to work as freelance musician whenever I can.
