Lecturer – Advanced Practice ( Health and Social Care)
Biography
I qualified as a registered nurse in 1993 and started my career in Trauma and orthopaedics, my aim being there for a couple years to gain the necessary experience then to move on to other specialities. 20 years later I was still there. I qualified as an advanced nurse practitioner in 2012 at UoS and enjoyed the programme so much I joined the team as a full time lecturer in 2015. My interests lie in orthopaedic care, spinal injury and assessment and feedback.
I lead on the MSc Advanced practice Clinical Examination module. I teach on a number of other modules including pathophysiology, project management and non medical prescribing
I am hoping to begin my PHD by publication in assessment and feedback.
