Biography
Dr Nadine Watson is Subject Group Head and Senior Lecturer People Management at the University of Salford.
Leading a team of fifteen colleagues she is responsible for setting the vision and direction of the subject group including aligning team goals with the overall school strategy. She leads curriculum development inline with subject benchmarks and ensuring compliance with CIPD professional mapping. She also leads EDI for people and culture within SBS and leads inclusivity colleagues in areas such as external chartermarks, student focus, and research. Nadine is an external examiner for University of Hertfordshire.
Nadine’s teaching philosophy is grounded in the belief that learners bring strengths, experiences, and perspectives to their studies and she is committed to developing inclusive pedagogies that recognise and celebrate this diversity. She endeavours to use culturally responsive teaching strategies, collaborative learning, and reflective practice to ensure equitable participation and achievement.
Beyond SBS Nadine is a leadership coach for the charity Sylvia Pankhurst Trust and she is an affiliate of the Fawcett Society.
