BIOGRAPHY
I joined Salford Business School in 2014 and am currently Programme Leader and Admissions Tutor for the MSc HRM&D programme. Prior to this I was at Leeds University Business School where I completed an ESRC funded PhD and a school funded Post-Doctoral Fellowship. A late entrant to academia, I have spent many years in industry, where I built regional sales teams from scratch and led a large business unit. My career started in the NHS, where I qualified as a Registered General Nurse at St Mary’s Hospital, London and worked in medical and haematology specialities.
I teach on a range of UG and PG modules for HRM and Business & Management students.
Professional cultures and identities, career development (including leadership) development and transitions, the impact of gender, race and class on work experience.

I am currently supervising PhD students researching Talent Management in Higher Education, Use of HPWS in a Libyan Telecomms Company and the experiences of migrant care workers. Currently, I am unable to take on further PhD students
