Biography
Biomedical Sciences graduate and current MPhil researcher with a strong interest in molecular oncology, therapeutic resistance, and translational cancer research. My undergraduate research investigated Kir4.1 expression in rat models of Alzheimer’s disease, focusing on the molecular alterations associated with neurodegeneration and disease pathology.
My current MPhil research focuses on a specific molecular pathway implicated in therapeutic resistance in cervical cancer. Through in vitro experimentation, I investigate how dysregulation within this pathway contributes to tumour cell survival and resistance to treatment. In parallel, my work explores the potential repurposing of existing therapeutics as a strategy to target resistance-associated mechanisms and improve treatment response. My broader research interests include cancer cell signalling, translational oncology, and the development of more effective therapeutic approaches through pathway-targeted intervention.
