Biography
Dr Haomin Yu is a Lecturer in Computer Science at the University of Salford, UK. Prior to this, she was an Assistant Professor in Computer Science at Aalborg University, Denmark. Her research focuses on designing spatio-temporal models to address critical industrial and societal challenges. These span a range of application domains, including rail surface defect detection, air monitoring sensor calibration, popularity prediction, air pollution forecasting, and property prediction. She received her PhD in Computer Science from Beijing Jiaotong University, China, in 2022.
She has published 25 research papers in national, international conferences and journals. In Google Scholar, she has more than 1000 citations. She has been a reviewer for several IEEE Transactions, Elsevier journals, CVPR, IJCAI, AAAI, Big data, ECML-PKDD conferences, etc.
Areas of Research
Her research focuses on designing spatio-temporal models to address critical industrial and societal challenges.
