Biography

Dr Godpower Enyi is a lecturer at the University of Salford, UK. He received his PhD in Gas Engineering and was employed by the University in 2012. He is the Programme Leader 2 of Mechanical Engineering (BEng and MEng). He was the pioneer Programme Leader of BEng Petroleum and Gas Engineering from 2012 to 2021. He teaches Energy Utilisation and Sustainability, Energy and Power and Engineering Methodology in Mechanical Engineering Programme of the university.
Prior to teaching, Dr Enyi worked at Indorama Petrochemical Complex, Eleme, Nigeria where he held the position of Plant Superintendent and at National Fertiliser Company of Nigeria (NAFCON) as Plant Shift Superintendent and Deputy Materials Manager. He has over 16 years industrial experience in chemical and gas plant operations, design, maintenance, and management. Very good experience in Chemical and Petrochemical plant equipment and high-pressure vessels operations – Gas Reforming for Synthesis gas production, Heat Exchangers and Boilers operations.
Dr Enyi remains active in teaching and research in the areas of New Energy Sources, Green/Blue hydrogen and Carbon Capture, Utilisation and Sequestration. An academic leader and researcher with consistent records of successfully employing best academic practices that improve efficiency and increase productivity in Teaching, Training, Supervision, Curriculum Development and Short Courses for Oil and Gas industries for 14 years. His publications have appeared in Elsevier Journal of Natural Gas Science and Engineering, Journal of Petroleum Science and Engineering and Springer Journal of Petroleum Exploration and Production Technology.
Dr Enyi is a Chartered Engineer, Corporate member of the Institution of Gas Engineers and Managers (IGEM) and a Fellow of Higher Education Academy, UK.
