Biography
Dr Dominic Maguire is a Diagnostic Radiographer with almost 25 years experience in the Irish health service. He also worked as a Software Engineer in the TSSG (Telecommunications Software & Systems Group) research group in Waterford (now Walton Institute). He currently works as a PACS Manager/Clinical Specialist Radiographer in Tipperary University Hospital.
Dominic has a long-standing interest in health and imaging informatics. He holds masters degrees in health informatics and computing and completed his PhD in Imaging at Salford in November 2024. This investigated automatic classification, detection and segmentation of breast arterial calcification on digital mammography images using deep learning.
