Biography
Dave is an experienced senior leader in higher education with a strong background in teaching & learning, curriculum design and quality assurance of HE programmes. As Director of Business & Management, Dave leads the academic team within Salford Business School, working closely with colleagues to ensure the Directorate provides an outstanding student experience, produces high quality research and provides successful knowledge exchange activities. Prior to entering higher education, Dave held management roles within marketing departments in the pubic and private sector. Dave then moved into teaching part-time for the Chartered Institute of Marketing before taking up a full-time academic position and has since held a variety of academic leadership roles including Programme Leader, Head of Department and now Director. Dave is a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, External Examiner and External Advisor to other universities in the UK and overseas. Dave is also a Lead Quality and Standards Assessor for the Office for Students.
