Biography
Cynthia Agyeman is a Lecturer in Law and Practising Solicitor in the University of Salford. Admitted as a Solicitor in 2006, she has experience of human rights, civil litigation, personal injury and commercial practice which she brings to her teaching and clinical supervision. She trained at Bindman & Partners and subsequently worked as an Associate at Clyde & Co LLP.
Her educational practice focuses on connecting legal knowledge with professional skills, employability and social mobility. She develops practice-informed learning opportunities, building on relationships with employers and enterprises to broaden students’ understanding of professional pathways. Her work includes organising large scale practitioner-led events and providing opportunities for students to access work experience.
In 2025, Cynthia received the Be The Ladder Platinum Social Mobility Award for her work in education, recognised by Moore Barlow Solicitors. She is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
She has served on the Advisory Committee for the funded PROBable Futures research project on Artificial Intelligence in policing and chaired committee meetings.
Alongside her teaching and clinical responsibilities, Cynthia holds an equality, diversity and inclusion leadership role for the Business School at the University of Salford.
