Biography

I joined Salford Business School full time in August 2022 as a lecturer in law, having worked as an hourly paid lecturer since January 2022. Having held teaching posts at the University of Chester and Open University I am an experienced law lecturer.

I was the Head of Digital Education for the University of Chester working with senior learning technologists during the COVID-19 pandemic and lockdown to ensure emergency remote teaching and the development of technology enhanced learning, blended learning and hyflex approaches thereafter.

I am currently working towards completing my Doctor of Education (EdD) at the University of Chester focusing on legal studies and digital enhancement. I am holding Senior Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy (SFHEA), now Advance HE and am committed to providing a high-quality student learning experience. Senior fellowship is an advanced level of professional standing that evidence expertise in teaching and learning in higher education.

I have taught across a wide range of modules at undergraduate level including English Legal System, Artificial Intelligence and the Law, Criminal Law, Criminal Justice and have taught Police apprentices focusing on research methods. I have previously assisted Law Librarians in their delivery of research skills, literature searching and legal research skills including using law reports, Westlaw, and Lexis legal databases.
