Biography
Dr Atefeh Tate aims to solve real world industrial problems through innovative application of scientific and technological principles that arise from within the research community. She has performed fundamental scientific studies but also has experience in delivering consultancy projects to industrial partners and in commercialising research findings in the UK and the UAE.
Currently, she leads many of the activities of the Civil Engineering Apprenticeship programme (BEng (Hons) Civil Engineering (Civil Engineer Degree Apprenticeship) and managing the progress of Engineering Degree Apprentices with our industry partners.
Dr Atefeh Tate is the holder of a prestigious Marie Skłodowska-Curie Global fellowship, and project manager of a global EU founded research project. She has experience of being a researcher at The University of Salford and North-Eastern University, Boston-MA, USA and the San Diego State University, CA, USA.
Areas of research
My research interests are in the field of Project Management, Ethics in engineering, technology, society, and Engineering. Most of my activities are focused of understanding the design of technology for society.
