BIOGRAPHY
I am broadcast journalist with network-level experience for ITV, as well as network and international reporting and presenting for the BBC, where I continue to work.
Alongside this, I lecture in television journalism at the University of Salford, and teach all forms of video journalism, including self-shooting, scripting and advanced editing.
Within my brief, I also oversee the University’s television news output – Quays News – and work with industry partners to produce quality video content for the market, while providing interesting and relevant experience for our students.
A BA graduate in Journalism, Film and Broadcasting, I worked initially as a newspaper journalist before returning to Cardiff University to study for a Postgraduate Diploma in Journalism (Broadcasting), passing with Distinction.
In the last year, I have added to my qualifications my postgraduate teaching certificate (PGCap) and I am currently studying Italian to add to my existing language skillset, which includes conversational German and a some French.
