Biography

Dr. Ahmad Hatamabadi Farahani is a lecturer and researcher specializing in accounting, and finance. Currently teaching at the University of Salford, Ahmad delivers key modules such as Entrepreneurial Accounting and Finance, and Resourcing Your Business. With over two decades of professional experience across academia and industry, he has held roles ranging from financial manager to auditor, demonstrating his expertise in strategic financial management, risk analysis, and sustainable business practices.

Ahmad holds a PhD in Methods and Models for Economic Decisions from Insubria University (Italy), where his research focused on sustainable accounting in the transportation sector.

He brings a wealth of global experience, having worked in Iran, Italy, and the UK in diverse roles such as Financial Controller at Kuehne + Nagel and audit supervisor at leading CPA firms. Ahmad has also contributed to numerous conferences and workshops, including the Financial Innovation Workshop in France.

A Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA), Ahmad is passionate about fostering engaging and practical learning environments for students. His teaching approach emphasizes real world application, international collaboration, and developing entrepreneurial skills. Ahmad actively mentors dissertation students, supervises research projects.
