University of Salford offers 500 extra places in Science, Engineering and Business

Categories: School of Science, Engineering and Environment

The University of Salford is throwing open its doors to an extra 500 students wishing to study Science, Engineering or Business this year.

“This year’s school and college leavers have had a very tough year,” explains Vice-Chancellor, Helen Marshall, “six months of lockdown followed by the exam results fiasco has been very challenging for them.  With our Health courses already hugely oversubscribed, we want to give as many opportunities as possible to those students seeking to go to University this Autumn: we will provide them with invaluable skills through our exceptional industry partnerships ensuring they are prepared for life.  We are a vibrant and inclusive community and I hope these extra places encourage  students to re-ignite their passion for learning and give them something of value to look forward to"
